Intel, CNN Plan PC Experiment: Intel Corp. and Cable News Network said they will test live multimedia news services on business personal computers. Beginning in May at a number of test sites, business PCs on local area networks, known as LANs, will display CNN news programs. “CNN is constantly looking to expand delivery of live news and information to new and diverse audiences,” said Tom Johnson, president of CNN/Headline News. The venture will offer the live broadcast of CNN and Headline News on PCs. Intel and CNN did not say whether the picture quality will be comparable to that of a television.
