Parents, Not Kids, Need Movie Tips
It would definitely be a service to your readers for films to be reviewed for parents considering what might be suitable for their children. But the column “Kids on Film” accomplishes nothing, particularly when reviewing R-rated movies, such as “Serial Mom” (OC Live!, April 21) with barely a hint of criticism of parents who take children under 17 to such movies.
I’m sure it would not be PC if the reviewer pulled no punches and told the readers if a PG or PG-13 movie was suitable for certain age groups. Parents could use some guidance.
Instead, the “Serial Mom” column just furthers the acceptance of exposing kids to obscenity and sex in R-rated films.
