Girl, 7, Kidnaped From Home, Raped; Drifter Held

VERO BEACH, Fla. —
A drifter was charged with snatching a 7-year-old girl from her bedroom and raping her in a nearby park after lab tests linked him to blood and body fluids at the scene. Bobby Ray Cornett, 45, of Athens, Tenn., was jailed Friday without bond on charges of aggravated kidnaping, capital sexual battery and aggravated burglary, police said.
