THOUSAND OAKS : Man Sought in Theft From Bank Branch
Authorities Tuesday were still looking for a man who robbed a Thousand Oaks bank using a demand note.
FBI officials said no arrests have been made in connection with the robbery that occurred about 2 p.m. Monday at a branch of California Federal Bank at 1330 N. Moorpark Road.
The robber waited in line with customers before approaching the counter and handing the note to a teller, authorities said.
He then fled with an unknown amount of cash and was last seen walking through the bank’s parking lot.
He was described as a white male about 35 years old, 6 feet tall and 180 pounds, with wavy reddish-blond hair and freckles. He was carrying a red backpack.
No one was injured and no weapon was seen, deputies said.
