A Canyon Country man was killed and two other motorists were injured Tuesday morning in a three-vehicle crash on Pearblossom Highway, just east of the Antelope Valley Freeway.

Glen W. Harvey, 34, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which occurred at 6:30 a.m., California Highway Patrol Officer Tom Hastain said.

Harvey and Steven Purana, 20, of Llano were driving east on Pearblossom when Purana’s pickup abruptly changed lanes and struck the rear of Harvey’s Honda Civic, causing that car to spin out of control.

The Civic moved onto the wrong side of the road, where it was hit by a car driven by Tobey Moat, 33, of Palmdale, Hastain said.

Moat was taken to Palmdale Hospital, where she was treated for cuts and scrapes, then released. Purana was treated at the scene for minor injuries. No arrests were made, but Hastain said CHP investigators were trying to determine whether to seek manslaughter charges against Purana.
