Share

Palm readers, massage therapists and tarot card readers will appear at the three-day Psychic Faire this weekend at the Hyatt Newporter.

The fair, which began Friday evening and ends Sunday, caters to both believers and skeptics, and it will feature a wide variety of supernatural and astrological experiences, said Kathleen Scott, fair organizer and veteran astrologer.

Among the 18 psychic guests will be Bonita Kent, a script channeler who claims she can write down the words being communicated to her by the dead; Natalie Kahn, who draw psychic portraits, and Diana Gale, creator of the radio show “Tap Dancing Through the Mind.”

Scott, who has been practicing astrology for almost 20 years and has organized previous psychic fairs, said she doesn’t expect people to believe the power of psychic phenomenon until actually seeing it done firsthand.

“You have to see it for yourself,” she said. “I have had psychics (coming to the fair) for their psychic readings.”

The Hyatt Newporter is at 1107 Jamboree Road in Newport Beach. The fair’s hours are from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
