Hardware Power: Crown Ace Hardware has moved its neighborhood hardware store in Anaheim Hills to a new neighborhood--the large Anaheim Hills Festival, where its neighbors include Target, Mervyn's, Marshalls and Three D Bed and Bath.

Power centers usually don't appeal to hardware store owners, but the Anaheim Hills Festival store is proving to be "a great location for us," said Crown Ace Hardware President Jeff Schulein. "It's equidistant from where we used to be and where the Builder's Emporium used to be. It's also larger and it has great traffic."

"Off the top of my head, I can't think of any other hardware stores that are in this kind of center," Schulein said. "But in this case, we had a landlord who wanted us and we ended up with great visibility."
