BUENA PARK : Police Department to Hold Open House
The Police Department will hold an open house for residents today from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Visitors will be able to talk with officers and learn about various crime prevention programs in their neighborhoods. The department’s K-9 unit and SWAT team will be on hand.
Officials will provide tours of the police station and demonstrate various police vehicles and equipment.
Children can be fingerprinted and receive police trading cards.
“Basically, this is to show off all the services that we offer the community,” Sgt. Robert Chaney Jr. said.
The open house will take place at the police station, at 6650 Beach Blvd.
A pancake breakfast sponsored by the Buena Park Kiwanis Club will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. The breakfast is $2.50 per person.
