THOUSAND OAKS : Three Landscapers to Keep City Green

Share

Three landscape architects will share the job of caring for Thousand Oaks’ namesake trees, working together to keep the city green.

Ventura resident George Moore, who has served as Thousand Oaks’ sole tree protector for nearly a decade, will now split his duties with two friends: local landscape architects John Innes and Richard Campbell. Each consultant will earn $50 an hour.

“We have three individuals who are equally qualified and we might as well increase our flexibility” by having all three on call with consulting contracts, principal planner Paul Metrovitsch said.

Metrovitsch, who interviewed 10 candidates for the job before selecting the finalists, said the city would rotate work among the three.
