BREA : Cemetery to Hold Memorial Day Event
The public is invited to Memory Garden Memorial Park’s 37th annual Memorial Day service Monday at 11 a.m.
More than 900 full-size American flags will be flown along the avenues of the cemetery’s grounds.
Each of the flags once draped the caskets of a deceased veteran.
Sixteen other flags will be dedicated during the service, each honoring veterans who died during the past year.
Former Rep. William E. Dannemeyer will deliver an address on veterans and freedom.
Organizations in attendance will include American Legion posts from Brea, La Habra, Placentia, Yorba Linda and Anaheim, Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops and other local groups.
