Trout Brings Big Relief to a Rosemead Angler

Share

If Junichi Nakagawa got a little excited while reeling in a giant trout last weekend at Big Bear Lake, at least he was in the right place.

Nakagawa, of Rosemead, was fishing at the S.S. Relief-West, a floating restroom, when the fish struck. Minutes later he had landed a 14-pound 5-ounce rainbow trout.

Several trophy-sized trout--holdovers planted for a recent fishing derby--were landed in the last week at the mountain reservoir, but Nakagawa’s was the only one topping 10 pounds.
