The Takes on Paula Jones Push All the Buttons

Share

Re: Robin Abcarian’s article of May 11 (“In the Paula Jones Affair, the Burden Is Squarely on the Right”). Do radical, left-wing, liberal “feminists” think they have a God-given mandate to represent all women?

Why do they automatically assume that someone they support is right (excuse my use of the term, perhaps I should say “correct”) and someone they oppose is wrong?

They were certainly quick enough to rush to judgment of Clarence Thomas, but now that Bill Clinton is threatened, they are dragging their feet. I thought sexual harassment was an equal opportunity offense, not a politically convenient weapon to be aimed only at those who disagree with us.

Get real, Robin. You sure don’t speak for me.

Bouquets to Robin Abcarian! I was deeply touched when I read her Mother’s Day column and loudly cheered her article with regard to the Paula Jones Affair. Her comments about the National Organization for Women and the forces of the Right were right, right on!

About the Paula Jones story (“The Power of Talk,” May 13):

Give us the facts and give us the innuendo. Give us the spin of the Democrats and of the Republicans. Give us the story “On the Left” and give us the story “On the Right,” but why give her a full page color photo on the front of your new Life & Style section?

Shame on you!
