Business Spending Expected to Increase: Capital spending by Japanese businesses is expected to rise 1.1% to $161.5 billion in the year ending March, 1995, finishing off a two-year decline, Japan’s Ministry of International Trade and Industry said, according to Jiji Press. Spending by manufacturers is expected to fall 3.5%, and outlays by non-manufacturing companies are likely to rise 3.6%, according to a survey of 1,615 major companies at the end of March.
