FULLERTON : Planning Meeting to Focus on Trees

Share

Residents interested in helping shape the city’s plan to improve the economic environment of the downtown area may attend a meeting of the Fullerton Downtown Planning Committee on July 11.

The committee, which was created by the City Council to study existing design guidelines for downtown businesses, will discuss a master plan for street trees at this session.

Committee members expect the discussion to include issues such as problems with sidewalks being lifted by tree roots and the obscuring of signs and lights by spreading branches.

The panel will also talk about creating left-turn lanes on Harbor Boulevard at Wilshire and Amerige avenues.

The meeting is at the Fullerton Senior Multi-Service Center, 340 W. Commonwealth Ave., at 7 p.m.
