Rams Acquire Former Raider Receiver Hester

The Rams acquired free agent wide receiver Jessie Hester on Monday.

Hester, a former Raider who caught 64 passes for 835 yards with Indianapolis last season, agreed to a one-year contract with the Rams, who will also have an option on Hester’s services in 1995.

Hester was a first-round draft choice of the Raiders in 1985 before being traded to Atlanta in 1988. The Falcons released him in 1989, and after signing with Indianapolis in 1990, he went on to average 57 catches a season with the Colts.
