THOUSAND OAKS : Home Improvement Expo Begins Saturday
Parents can check out mini-blinds and air conditioners while their children enjoy pony rides and face-painting at Thousand Oaks’ Home Improvement Expo and Family Fun Fest this weekend.
Sponsored by the Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce, the fair will feature nearly 50 vendors peddling all sorts of home-improvement services, from landscaping to roofing.
For those too young to buy spas, the expo will offer basketball contests, song-and-dance shows and a small petting zoo. And everyone can chow down on barbecued ribs, pizza and chicken.
The expo will take place at the Westlake Plaza Center, a grassy field off Westlake Boulevard just south of the Ventura Freeway. It will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday, with free admission.
