Melinda Womack, a speech communications instructor, has received the Rancho Santiago College District’s 1994 Distinguished Faculty Award.

A committee of faculty members, administrators and others chose Womack for her outstanding service to the district in the classroom, in the community and on numerous committees. She joined the district in 1987, said district spokesman Dale Ruhe.

As the winner of the annual award, Womack will be invited to present a public address during the 1994-95 school year, the text of which will be published in pamphlet form and distributed to colleges throughout the state, Ruhe said.
