TV: The musical chairs game among network-affiliated stations continues. E.W. Scripps Co. and Capital Cities/ABC Inc. announced an unusually long 10-year affiliation agreement for five of the nation’s largest markets. The deal calls for two Scripps stations--in Tampa, Fla., and Phoenix--now affiliated with Fox to switch to ABC. Fox had notified both stations that its programming would move to other stations. A third Scripps station in Baltimore will switch to ABC from NBC. The new affiliates join two existing Scripps-owned ABC affiliates in Detroit and Cleveland. And Scripps said negotiations are continuing over the affiliation for its Kansas City station that also is losing its Fox affiliation. The announcement follows the landmark deal in May in which Fox and New World Communications announced a $500-million deal that will give Fox 12 stations now affiliated with CBS, NBC and ABC.
