Associated Press
WICHITA FALLS, Tex. —
A 9-year-old boy spent about 15 minutes hanging upside down in a Ferris wheel car until a police officer climbed up and rescued him.
Joshua Handy wasn’t hurt Thursday night as he dangled from the top of the 35-foot wheel at an amusement park.
Officer Chris Taylor scaled the side of the Ferris wheel without a safety line and held the boy until firemen put Joshua into the bucket of a hook-and-ladder truck and lowered him to the ground.
