Belgian press officer Guido de Windt didn’t seem to be amused by midfielder Lorenzo Staelens’ inability to cope with the high humidity and searing heat that have blanketed central Florida since the Belgian team arrived.
“He is the only player of 22 who can’t get used to it,” De Windt said.
If it’s exceptionally hot today, Staelens probably won’t start. “(Coach Van Himst) wants to start with a team that’s 100% OK,” De Windt said. “If he’s not 100% OK and he has to come out at the half, what good is that?”
