A World Cup pop quiz:

Question: When is a sports injury not an injury?

Answer: When it happens to a soccer player.

Monday at Palo Alto, Brazilian defender Jorginho was involved in a collision with Russia’s Dmitri Klehstov in the 65th minute. Jorginho went down, curled in that well-rehearsed soccer injury fetal position. He writhed and grimaced. The medical people dashed to his side. They rolled out the golf cart. They loaded him on. He continued to writhe and grimace. When they delivered him to the sideline, he was surrounded by more medical people and helpers. Less than a minute later, he was up, on the sideline, and back in the game.

And they said Brando was a great actor.
