Transient Surrenders in Bank Robbery
A 33-year-old transient has surrendered in connection with the robbery of a Bank of America branch in Oxnard, police said Tuesday.
Roy Christopher Jimenez met Oxnard police officers at 3:25 p.m. Monday at a bar on Mercantile Street to surrender for a robbery he said he committed Friday, authorities said. Jimenez said he had robbed the Bank of America branch at 465 A St., police said.
Oxnard police took Jimenez into custody, then turned him over to the FBI. No further details were available Tuesday night.
