* Ralph D. Ketchum has joined the board of Pacific Scientific Co., a Newport Beach maker of electrical and safety equipment, increasing the number of directors to eight. Ketchum is general partner in a partnership involved in acquiring and managing companies serving the aircraft industry. Before that, Ketchum worked for General Electric Co. until 1987, most recently as senior vice president and group executive.
