Reporters and editors of the French soccer magazine Onze (Eleven) are probably patting themselves on the back right about now.

They were among the few “experts” who predicted success for Bulgaria, which on Sunday upset Germany, 2-1, to advance to the semifinals.

“With its good organization and its fabulous offensive potential, it could very well be one of the surprises of this World Cup,” Onze declared.
