As channel surfing foreigners here for the World Cup discovered Tuesday night, a sport is not considered legitimate unless it has an all-star team.

So, for the first time, the international soccer federation, FIFA will announce an 11-man all-star team from the 1994 World Cup on Friday at the Ritz-Carlton Huntington in Pasadena.

Two of the finalists being considered by FIFA’s Technical Study Group include the United States’ Tab Ramos and Alexi Lalas.
