Swedish Coach Tommy Svensson wanted to do something for his 80-year-old father, Stig, who has worked for a Swedish club team for 45 years.
So he invited Stig to Southern California for the semifinal game against Brazil and Saturday’s third-place game against Bulgaria.
“It was a very emotional moment, a great moment for my father,” Tommy Svensson said.
What did they say to one another?
“We didn’t say anything,” Tommy Svensson said.
