RIO DE JANEIRO — A Brazilian soccer fan was murdered by his brother-in-law because he praised the Italian team during the World Cup final, news agency Estado reported.
Jose de Oliveira Lima, 44, was stabbed to death by Raimundo Leadro in a bar in the remote Amazon town of Rio Branco after Lima said Italy was playing well by denying Brazil a goal, Estado reported Monday. The game ended 0-0 and was won by Brazil on penalty kicks.
