LOS ANGELES : Accused Rapist Indicted in Kidnaping of Woman

A federal grand jury Thursday indicted an accused rapist for allegedly kidnaping a Castaic real estate broker and taking her to Arizona, where she was found tied up in a motel room.

Timothy Daniel Shue, 38, faces life in prison if convicted of abducting Paula Doreen Harrington, 26. She was lured from her office June 29 after Shue asked her to show him several properties.

Shue was arrested in Ogden, Utah, after allegedly showing his gun to a stripper at a club called Ladies of Lace. He was returned to Los Angeles last week and will be arraigned Aug. 1.

Authorities said Shue forced Harrington to withdraw money from automated tellers, but did not say how much.

Harrington was found July 1 when deputies in Gila Bend, Ariz., responded to a report of a woman screaming for help.

Shue was paroled last July after serving 11 years in prison for armed robbery. He was later linked to several attacks on women and a rape.
