Police were seeking the gunmen responsible for a drive-by shooting early Sunday that left a 22-year-old man dead and two others wounded.

Authorities on Monday identified the deceased as Mario Humberto Figueroa, 22, of Santa Ana. Another man, identified as Jorge Nolasco, 22, of Santa Ana, suffered a gunshot wound to the lower body. A 15-year-old boy also was hit once in the lower body. He was not identified by police because of his age.

The incident was being investigated by the department’s gang unit. No arrests had been made by Monday afternoon.

The three victims were standing outside in the 300 block of North Jackson Street when a car pulled up about 1:50 a.m., police said. When the teen-ager approached the car to talk to the driver, shots were fired from the passenger window, hitting all three victims. Figueroa was later pronounced dead at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital and Medical Center.
