Share

Three public works projects have been slated to begin in August in the Agoura Hills, Calabasas and west county areas, two of which will reduce traffic lanes during day work hours. All three projects will be administered by the County Department of Public Works.

Stunt Road, between Schueren Road and Mulholland Highway, will be resurfaced by Boral Resources Inc. of Pomona for nearly $500,000. Construction is scheduled to be completed in September.

The reconstruction and resurfacing of Kanan Road from Agoura Road to Tunnel No. 3 in Agoura Hills will be conducted over the next year by Security Paving Co. Inc. of Sun Valley for $2.2 million. Traffic lanes may be closed during construction hours, but local access is expected to be maintained at all times.

To improve drainage and eliminate rodents and odors, Ilias Meikhail Joha, of Lancaster, was awarded a $73,000 contract to clean out 5,400 catch basins in the San Fernando Valley area of the city of Los Angeles, Westlake Village and neighboring unincorporated areas. Traffic will not be affected by this project, which will be complete in October.
