IRVINE : Professionals to Give Acting Jobs Seminar

Hollywood will come to Irvine Valley College on Saturday when an actor, casting director, agent and photographer give a four-hour seminar on how to break into the entertainment industry.

The experts will describe the life of an aspiring actor and provide tips on marketing, finding an agent and landing roles.

The seminar will be lead by four industry veterans:

* Frank P. Pangborn, an actor who has appeared on “Murder She Wrote,” “Moonlighting” and the “Young and the Restless.”

* Kathy Smith, a casting director who has worked on several movies and commercials.

* Photographer Michael Papo.

* Helen Barkan, an agent with Aimee Entertainment.

The seminar costs $42. It will take place at 9 a.m. in Room B209. It is being sponsored by Irvine Valley College’s community education department.
