One Korean American Inspires Another
As a young Korean American architecture student, I am proud to know the recent addition to the Los Angeles Convention Center was designed by a Korean American. “One Man’s Vision” (June 26) about Ki Suh Park, was refreshing.
I have for some time been lost and confused and could not really grasp why I am not as motivated as before. I have let down my teachers who went out of their way to help me and I let myself down.
But the ordeals and obstacles Park overcame were obviously far more difficult. That is why I’m writing to thank you for a great article. It is wonderful to find Koreans are being recognized in a profession such as architecture, and not just as grocery merchants.
I don’t mean to degrade merchants, but am only trying to express my happiness that we are recognized. I think there are many things young Korean Americans can contribute to the community.
