Santa Clarita / Antelope Valley : Inquiry Continues in Hiker’s Death
Officials in the Los Angeles County coroner’s office said so far foul play isn’t suspected in last week’s death of a Littlerock woman who had been camping in the Angeles National Forest. But drug tests are being performed on her body.
Janet Bradley, 38, died Wednesday shortly after being rescued by firefighters.
Bradley experienced breathing problems during an overnight camping trip that began Tuesday evening in the hills just north of Santa Clarita. Her boyfriend hiked out the next morning to get emergency help. But Bradley died later that day after firefighters brought her to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital.
Scott Carrier, a spokesman for the coroner’s office, said Bradley suffered from asthma and bronchitis, which may have caused the breathing problems that led to her death.
