Amy Jill Sacks, 39, a television producer who won 13 Emmys primarily for ABC Sports. She was considered a pioneer among women working on sports programming. The former producer for ABC News and ABC Sports was senior vice president of Buena Vista Productions, a Walt Disney subsidiary, at the time of her death. At Disney, which she joined in 1989, she was responsible for the Emmy-winning “Muppets Celebrate Jim Henson.” Her other Emmys were primarily for ABC coverage of the 1984 Summer Olympics and specials on the 1988 Winter Olympics.
