Tustin’s Quality Systems Wins Contract to Install Software System at Hospital

Quality Systems Inc. said Wednesday that it has won a contract to develop and install an automated medical practice management software system at the 672-bed University Hospital in Augusta, Ga. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

The pact calls for the Tustin company to install customized software programs in one of the hospital’s existing computer systems to provide the institution and its medical staff with real-time, interactive information processing capability.

Functions supported by the system will include diagnostic test reporting, treatment planning, patient monitoring, appointment scheduling, insurance claims processing, patient billing and accounting.

University Hospital is the second largest in the state of Georgia with more than 475 physicians on its medical staff and a monthly patient volume of about 20,000 admissions and outpatient visits.

Quality Systems develops computer-based management systems for medical and dental group practices.
