Share

An exhibit of high-tech inventions will come to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum near Simi Valley later this month to show how the defense industry has adapted to the post-Cold War world.

Electric buses, virtual reality and a voice-activated car navigation system will be among the high-tech fare.

Exhibitors at the trade fair, called TEXPO, will include both military and non-military companies that deal with advanced transportation, alternative energy, telecommunications, computers, health care and pollution control.

“TEXPO will give visitors a glimpse of how they’ll live, learn, work and play in the latter half of this decade,” said Richard Norton Smith, library director.

TEXPO will run from Aug. 26 to 28. The show will be included in the cost of library admission, which is $4 for adults, $2 for senior citizens and free for children 15 and under. For information, contact the library at 522-8444.
