GLENDALE : Technician Training Program Offered
A new program for men and women interested in manufacturing technician jobs will begin Monday at Glendale Community College.
Courses will train students in blueprint reading, computer repair, computer-aided drafting, soldering and aviation structural design.
Financial-aid and counseling services are available. Under the Job Training Assistance Partnership Act (JTPA), economically disadvantaged women may also receive additional assistance in registration, tuition, transportation and child-care costs.
An orientation session about the program and what it takes to qualify for JTPA assistance will take place at 10:30 a.m. today in Room 107 of the main campus trailer court. For information, call (818) 240-1000, Ext. 5497.
