Probation in Quake Fraud a Slap in the Face

Share

* The sentence of probation given the woman for claiming she lived at the Northridge Meadows when she lived in Carson is but a slap on the hand.

It serves as a slap in the face of those of us who lost our homes and waited as much as four months for assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

This woman was one of 30 people who made false claims that took time away from those truly needing assistance. Her insensitivity is despicable, and the fact she used an address with actual deaths is unforgivable.

Perhaps these scammers should be given a dose of what they falsely claimed they experienced. If they truly knew the horror of being left homeless for weeks without food or a place to shower, then they would know true punishment.
