Man Walks Into Traffic, Is Killed

STANTON — An Anaheim man was killed Wednesday night after he walked into traffic on southbound Beach Boulevard and was struck by a woman driving a sports car, a spokesman with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department said Thursday.
Ovidio Fajardo, 42, died at the scene about 10 p.m., sheriff’s Lt. Dan Martini said. A team of investigators attended Fajardo’s autopsy Thursday in an effort to reconstruct what happened.
“At this point, it appears to be the pedestrian’s fault,” Martini said.
The woman was treated at a hospital for facial injuries and released, Martini said.
