The city is seeking nonprofit community organizations to adopt a local park for 15 weeks and get paid $325.

The groups chosen to adopt parks are expected to visit their parks at least once a week between Sept. 26 and Jan. 22 and keep them clean.

Cleaning duties include picking up paper, cans, glass and other litter, city officials said. Other responsibilities include reporting to authorities any dangerous objects, broken equipment or suspicious activities.
