GM to Expand ‘Value Pricing’ in California: General Motors Corp., aiming to wrest market share from Asian competitors, said it will extend its “value pricing” strategy in California to 70 models from 46. Selling equipped cars and trucks at preset prices without rebates has been paying off for the largest U.S. auto maker, GM marketing officials said. The company began the pricing strategy in California about a year ago, and some of its car divisions have been expanding the program nationwide.
