Openings Available in Concert Band
The Ventura County Concert Band is seeking new musicians for the 1994-95 concert season.
Openings are available in all band sections, including woodwinds, brass and percussion instruments. No auditions are required, but previous experience is necessary.
The concert band, celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, is composed of teachers, business people, engineers, students, homemakers and retired citizens who show off their musical talents during free community concerts four times a year.
Performances for the 1994-95 season are scheduled for Nov. 13, Feb. 5, April 9 and June 11.
Beginning this week, the concert band will rehearse Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. in the band room at Ventura High School, 2155 E. Main St., Ventura.
