Orange Coast Title Co.: The company said Thursday it has purchased Courtesy Title of Salt Lake City, Utah. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Courtesy was founded just a year ago, but the brisk business it has done during Utah’s real estate boom made it an attractive purchase for Orange Coast, said John Marconi, president of Orange Coast Title. Home sales in Utah grew by 23.7% during the first quarter of 1994, Marconi said, compared to the same period a year earlier.
Orange Coast Title, based in Santa Ana, was founded by Marconi in 1974. It now operates in Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside, San Diego and Los Angeles counties.
