PRO FOOTBALL DAILY REPORT : RAIDERS : Not-So-Instant Replay for Lewis
Raider cornerback Albert Lewis, who suffered a concussion in the third quarter of Sunday’s loss to the Seattle Seahawks, reported nothing worse than a headache Monday.
Asked after Sunday’s game if he remembered the play on which he collided with teammate Eddie Anderson, Lewis replied, “I don’t remember the second half.”
But Lewis remembered quite well Monday after sitting through a team tongue-lashing by Coach Art Shell and a horror movie--the lowlights of Sunday’s 38-9 loss.
Was Shell hard on the team?
“You might say that,” Lewis said, “but it was very much necessary. Today’s a day when everybody’s fairly disappointed. That’s what happens when you lose to a team that’s not as good as you and you lose big to them. They were better that particular day and that’s what matters most.”

Running back Harvey Williams has a jammed left hand, suffered on the opening kickoff Sunday. But Williams, who is not expected to sit out, was more focused Monday on the loss.
“I didn’t sleep a wink last night,” he said, “and I’m pretty sure 98% of the football team didn’t sleep.”

Defensive lineman Scott Davis, who walked out of the team’s training headquarters last week, remained among the missing for the seventh consecutive day. . . . Fellow defensive lineman Jerry Ball, who suffered a pulled hamstring Sunday, is expected to play Sunday against the Denver Broncos at Denver.
