Ford to Recall Models: The auto maker said it is recalling 220,000 1994 Lincoln Town Cars, Mercury Grand Marquises and Ford Crown Victorias to fix a problem with the brakes. Ford Motor Co. said certain nuts and bolts that attach the brake backing plates to the rear axle housings may loosen and separate, damaging the parking brake assembly or the anti-lock braking systems on some vehicles. Should all the nuts on one of the backing plates separate from the bolts, the parking brake cable or one of the brake hydraulic lines could be damaged, resulting in a partial loss of braking capability.
