RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA : Measure A Opponents to Have Town Meeting
- Share via
The Rancho Santa Margarita Civic Assn. will have a town meeting tonight to discuss how residents can fight a November ballot initiative that asks voter approval to build a commercial airport at the El Toro Marine Corps Air Station.
The 7:30 p.m. meeting will be at Trabuco Mesa School, 21301 Avenida De Las Flores.
The association has joined with other South County residents to form a committee to defeat the ballot initiative known as Measure A.
The committee is called Taxpayers for Responsible Planning.
The group contends that converting the Marine Corps base to a commercial airport would hurt Rancho Santa Margarita and other nearby communities by increasing noise and traffic.
