Pacific Gulf Properties Appoints New Executive
Angela M. Wixted has been appointed treasurer/controller of Pacific Gulf Properties Inc., a Newport Beach real estate investment trust. She was formerly controller of O’Donnell Property Services Inc. in Irvine. Before that, Wixted was vice president and chief financial officer of SDC Investments Inc. in Newport Beach, and a senior accountant with Kenneth Leventhal & Co.’s Newport Beach office.
* Roger Hagie has been appointed to a three-year term on the National Boating Safety Advisory Council by Federico Pena, U.S. secretary of transportation. Hagie is director of public affairs at Kawasaki Motors Corp. U.S.A. in Irvine.
* Roberto C. Medrano has been appointed vice president of sales and marketing for Alpha Systems Lab Inc., an Irvine supplier of multimedia, video conferencing and surveillance products. Medrano has more than 12 years experience in high-technology sales and marketing, including senior management positions with Avnet Computer, Sun Microsystems and Daisy Systems Corp.
* Teresa M. Demarie has been appointed vice president of Executive Horizons Inc., a Newport Beach career management and new venture consulting firm. She was previously an account executive for Pacific Bell in Los Angeles. Demarie has also served as sales training manager for Union Federal Bank in Los Angeles and a sales manager for FHP in Long Beach.
* Al Tello has joined the Irvine public relations firm of Laer Pearce & Associates as manager of public affairs. He previously served as the executive assistant in charge of advising Orange County Supervisor Harriett M. Wieder on transportation issues. In addition, Sheri Johnson has been appointed an account executive. She was formerly manager of public relations and marketing communications for State of the Art Inc., an accounting software developer.
* Eric F. Rieseberg has been appointed senior vice president, operations, for Transitional Hospitals Corp., the long-term critical care subsidiary of Laguna Hills-based Community Psychiatric Centers. Rieseberg joins the company from Integrated Health Services, a sub-acute health care company based in Owings Mills, Md., where he was senior vice president-operations. Before that, he was a district vice president for Hospital Corp. of America in Pittsburgh.
* Mark H. Tookey has joined RPM Mortgage as a senior mortgage consultant for its Newport Beach office. He was formerly a manager for American Residential Mortgage and a senior account executive for Citibank FSB.
