ANAHEIM : Lecture Begins Lupus Awareness Month
An update on lupus research and treatment will be provided by Dr. Anthony Bohan, a rheumatologist, when he addresses the Orange County Lupus Support Group.
The free lecture will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Rooms C and D of the Anaheim Memorial Hospital Medical Building, 1211 W. La Palma Ave. The event kicks off National Lupus Awareness Month in October.
Lupus is a degenerative disease in which healthy tissues are attacked by the body’s own immune system. More than 500,000 Americans have lupus.
