PRO FOOTBALL DAILY REPORT : RAIDERS : Moss to Appeal Fine for Seattle Fight

Share

Linebacker Winston Moss, one of eight Raiders fined for a fight against the Seattle Seahawks a week ago, plans to appeal the $7,500 judgment levied against him by the league.

Those fined included defensive back Derrick Hoskins ($6,500) and defensive linemen Chester McGlockton ($4,000), Aundray Bruce ($4,000) and Anthony Smith ($2,500). Three others, whose identities were not revealed, were fined $2,500 each for being in the area of the fight, bringing the total Raider bill to $32,000.

Nine Seahawks were fined a total of $27,000.

The Raiders, who led the league in penalties a year ago and were off to another big start with 19 penalties for 125 yards in the first two games, had another 10 for 118 yards Sunday against Denver.

But 42 of those yards came on a controversial pass interference call against cornerback Lionel Washington.

And there was little of the pushing and shoving that has characterized many previous Raider-Bronco games.
