Metrobank Sets Details of Acquisition: Los Angeles-based Metrobank, which said earlier this month that it would acquire Topdanmark’s National Bank of Long Beach, said it has finalized terms of the sale and will pay Copenhagen-based Topdanmark about $25 million. Both Long Beach offices of National Bank of Long Beach will remain open, but its offices in Torrance and Santa Ana will be combined with nearby Metrobank branches. Both companies are business banks that cater to professionals and mid-size firms. Metrobank also said the deal is expected to close early next year.
